Deskjet 2544
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I am using HP Deskjet 2544 all in one printer to scan my passport using dell latitude with Windows 7 OS. Passport is getting scanned BUT i am getting  black/grey backgroud around the scanned copy of passport. I tried changing brightness, contrast, even kept blank white/black paper on top of passport also tried to press the lid on top the my passport but still getting black background. This make scan copy look bad and also when i try to print from the scanned copy ink gets waster as its printing black background as well.

Any help to resolve this issue is appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the HP Community @PrafullSurana,

I read your post about your HP Deskjet 2544 creating a black background around your passport when you try to make a copy. I will do my best to help you with this issue today.

Passports are heavily protected to prevent fraud, as a result it can be more difficult to try and make copies. It looks like you have already tried all of the troubleshooting options, so my only suggestion would be to take your passport to a business and have the copies professionally made. A print shop will have  access to multiple features and programs to ensure your passport meets your standards.

I hope this helps, and have a great day
