Book says use an HP 110 tri color ink cartridge. But when I install a new one the printer tells me "Print cartridge inserted now is not intended for use in this printer."
So....anyone know where I go from here to get this little printer back up and printing? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi! @Gobbllette, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you get cartridge error when you insert the cartridge on your printer.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
Please try few steps recommended below.
The print cartridge may not have full electrical contact with the product. Removing and reinstalling the cartridge might help.
HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges. Use genuine HP print cartridges to ensure good quality.
Make sure the product is on. Press the Power button if it is not lit.
Open the product cover, then wait until the print carriage is idle and silent.
Press down lightly on the end of the problem cartridge to release it.
Slide the cartridge out, and inspect it.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot cartridge error.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Thanks for the reply Chetan. But cleaning the printer and cartridge contacts didn't solve my problem as I am still getting the Incorrect Cartridge message. (The ink cartridge is a new HP brand cartridge.) Anything else I can do?

@Gobbllette, thanks for the reply.
Thanks for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned that cleaning the contacts did not solve the problem.
Please try to perform a hard reset on your printer.
A printer reset can resolve some ink cartridge issues. Follow these steps to reset the printer.
Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button () to turn it on.
If the issue still persists, Check with a different ink cartridge.
Contact HP support if you have issues after checking with a different ink cartridge. It could be a hardware issue with the printer.
Link to contact HP.
Hope this helps!
Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately the printer is still on the blink. So I decided to buy a new one. And did. An A325. Problem is I found out after I bought it that it is out of date. So even though it's new I won't be able to get any HP support for it, or so I'm told. I realize I should have investigated before I made the purchase.But still, everyone isn't up to date on all this technology stuff and it seems the retailer (Amazon in this case) should bear some responsibility to label their out of date products as bein' no longer available from the manufacturer. But oh well. Whether they should have any responsibility or whether it's all on my shoulders, I now have a new older photo printer that I intend to use untill it buys the farm, which I'm hoping is a few years down the road. Thanks again for the good help I received in this Forum....

@Gobbllette, thanks for the response.
As you mentioned you bought the ink which was out of date due to which your printer was not printing.
You can purchase the original ink cartridges directly from HP using this link in future.
Hope this helps!
Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂
