Hello ,
Hope you are doinf fine ,
This issue that you are reporting , if lines are from left to right with no margins , this maybe an issue with a main hardware component of your printer .
Are you using HP supplies or refurbished ones ?
Do you have cartrdiges in low condition ?
When you print blank and white only , are you getting the lines ?
Any sample you can attach for me to see the issue ?

Do you have another cartridge to try? And are you using Genuine HP Toner?
One thing you can try is a 1/2 self test to identify where the issue is coming from.
1. Place a plain white piece of paper in the manual feed tray and print a test page. As the paper is fed into the printer either turn the printer off or open a tray to stop the printing.
2. Pull the paper out carefully, as the images are not fused onto the paper
3. Can you see the line on the paper? If so it may be a the toner cartridge or the transfer roller. You can check by looking at the toner cartridge drum, is the line there?
If nothing is seen in either place it is the fuser.

I' m not exactly sure what you mean by low condition, but I'm guessing the cyan cartridge is the only one in low condtiion.
When you print blank and white only , are you getting the lines ?

Hey there thanks for your reply, to answer your questions.
The lines are still visible when I stop the print and pull the paper out manually.
I'm not sure what exactly the toner cartridge drum is (I'm guessing it's the blue bars?) If they are, then I don't see the lines on them

If you pull the toner cartridges out, there is a cover over the drum you can rotate back.
If you see the lines on the page, it is either the toner or the transfer roller causing the issue.
Does that make sense?

It really looks like the Cyan cartridge is done. If you print a supplies status page from the system menu, it should tell you an approximate page count but more importantly if the cartridge is low or very low in toner. I would guess not, it looks more like a blade problem in the cartridge. The image you show is streaks top to bottom of the page, which often indicates poor cleaning. thus the blade. Did you do a lot of printing on a narrow media before this started. Getting the two lines like that sometimes happens when narrow media has been printed with toner off the edges. Please respond with a bit more detail, but a new cartridge should fix the problem. Dovid

Hey, thanks for the reply.
What do you mean by "narrow media"? Are there any other alternatives than getting a new cartridge seeing as how they are pretty expensive. What other details would you like to know?

Hi,
So narrow media would be things like A5 or 3X5 cards. All acceptable in the printer, but they use only a portion of the width that can be printed. If you measure the distance between the two bands that you show (ignoring the thin one) the inside to inside distance would be the width of the media that might have been running. This kind of streaking does not often come in matching pairs, so it was just a thought.
If you have a friend with the same printer, you could borrow a cartridge for one page and test the cartridge out. All of the printing components are within the cart, so even an old used cartridge should be good enough for the test before you spend your hard earned $. maybe if you take in a page to your local cartridge store, and if the cartridge has not reached very low (bring a supplies status page) they might replace it under warranty. if not, they might havea used and returned one that you could take home and try before buying a new one (good customer service).
