What kind of help do you need? As described above I am using an HP Designjet 650C in Windows 7 x64 as described in this post. I have it connected with a JetDirect card I picked up on eBay for <$20. In the past I also used it with Windows 7 connected to a LPT port before I got the Jetdirect card.

Please read the entire thread, especially this post. What exactly is the issue you have?

Even on Win7 32bit Enterprise I get this error message:
The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for 32 bit systems.

This forum is focused on consumer level products. For the Designjet you may have better results posting in the HP Enterprise Designjet forum here.
That said, you can download the x64 XP/Windows Server 2003 drivers from this link. I had good success using these drivers in Windows 7 x64. To install the driver download the driver and unzip it in some convenient directory. Go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, select the proper port, Have Disk and point at the directory where you unzipped the driver. There are four versions of the 650C, the A and B versions in 24" and 36" versions. Select the proper printer from the list.

What driver are you using? For a 32 bit system you will need to use a 32 bit driver. For a 32 bit version of Windows 7 I would suggest trying the XP version. The 64 bit driver will not work on a 32 bit system.
For the 64 bit version you may need to disable driver signing enforcement to allow the driver to install, see the information here.

It was not a good idea to enter testmode in order to install the xp64 driver for DJ650C on Win 7. The PC went into testmode, and no printout.
It was not smart at all to install on W7 32bit either, as the disk was encrypted, and might need a reinstallation after this bad treatment.

@Yonesy wrote:Hi Bob,
Are you able to tell me if that driver can print larger than A1? I can only seem to print to this size maximum on Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks.
What model do you have? I have the 36" B model and the driver allows selection of standard sizes to A0 or B1 and custom sizes to 36" x 108". I just tried defining a custom paper size of 36" x 108", with an application size of 3.6" x 10.8" and printed a test page from Word and it printed to the full 108" size.

I am glad I could help. Your question did prompt me to try printing a long sheet, a previous version of the driver had limited the length to 60". It is good to learn something new, and now I have 9' of scratch paper :-).
