Whenever I copy (laptop turned off, I just press the copy button of the printer) a letter document, the copy made is cut in the bottom. I copied just now a letter document, margins above and below are about 0.2 each. The copy made did not include the last line of the document which is about 0.30 above the bottom of the page. I tried to move the original upward but I can only move it a little or else the first line will be cut.

What can I do? This is a new printer. I bought it December 2nd week. Do you guys think I should just return it and get another unit? Maybe my unit is defective. Thanks.

Greetings!!@Jessiqute

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.Thank you for posting your query.I read your post I see that you've copy issues on your printer.Thank you for sharing the issue details.I will certainly do my best to help you.

Place the original document or photo with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved guides around the glass.

Tips for copy and scan success Use the following tips to copy and scan successfully:

● Keep the glass and the back of the lid clean. The scanner interprets anything it detects on the glass as part of the image.

● Load your original, print side down, on the right front corner of the glass.

● To make a large copy of a small original, scan the original into the computer, resize the image in the scanning software, and then print a copy of the enlarged image.

● To avoid incorrect or missing scanned text, make sure the brightness is set appropriately in the software.

Try to scan the document, check if the issue persists.

Please complete the steps and let me know the outcome.

I'll be eagerly waiting to assist you with same, cheers:)

Have a nice day.
