Product: LaserJet 2420

I have numerous HP LaserJet 2420s, along with JetDirect cards.For testing purposes, I upgraded the firmware on my test printers to all match. That way I could rule out the printer firmware.

 

All jetdirect cards are model J6057A and firmware R.25.57.

 

My catch is, when I login to the printer's web admin page, on some printers I get three tabs - Home, Settings, and Networking. I get this no matter what JetDirect I seem to use. On others I'm missing the "Settings" tab. Even if I take a JetDirect that has "Settings" in one printer and put it in another printer, it may not have the menu. So I don't believe it to be the JetDirect cards.

 

Printers are all 2420s, but when the configuration is printed the models vary. Some are Q5956A, Q5957A, some start with C, etc. Being production, I can't go around just switching jetdirect cards to try to find the pattern but I'm assuming some of these display the "Settings" menu by default and some don't. I'm curious if anyone knows which do, which don't, and how to get the ones that don't the ability to display, if possible.

 

I greatly appreciate any advice you may be able to provide!
