HP 2840 Color Laserjet
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Windows 10

64 bit operating system

HP Color Laserjet 2840

Dot4x64 driver and tried Dot4x86 driver

Toner cartridges are like new

My HP 2840 Laserjet won't print color since we updated to Windows 10.   ALL pictures print in Black and White.

Printer copies in color fine - so it isn't the toner or alignment issues.  Only when sent from the printer.

Tried moving to a 32 bit driver and it still won't print color.

Set printer to factory defaults.

My HP 2840 Laserjet won't scan since we updated to Windows 10.

There is no option for scanning and Windows Fax and Scan says I have no scanner installed.

There doesn't appear to be any additional software to install the scanning part of my printer.

Any help would be appreciated.  I love this printer and it clearly can still print color beautifully.

Hi,

Please use the following instructions to fix:

You may have to re-install software and drivers.

Regards.

I completely uninstalled the drivers and all HP software.

I downloaded the USB driver recommended by HP and installed.

Color still doesn't print.

I downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Ran all options to repair and checked my firewall.

It was unable to fix my scan option not existing or color printing problem.

Installed HP Scan and Capture, but it fails to find a scanning device.  The driver that HP chooses for this device does not seem to support scanning.
