HP 3545 PRINTER
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My hp 3545 printer's printer, scanner and copier is not working.
While copying a document the printer stopped responding and got stuck at the scanning message on the screen.
So i cancelled the scanning and restarted the printer. And since then the printer neither can scan nor copy any doc.
It is always stuck at the scanning message.
I have tried the hard reset, firmware update and the scan doctor, but no good.
And recently i replaced the empty print cartridge with a new one and printed the alignment page. The printer asks to scan that alignment page. And since the scanner is not working the printer now can't even print anything!
So yes the hp printer is dead within 1 and a half year of purchase.

I need help regarding two issues here.
1) how can i disable the scanner/copier of the printer and use the printer at least for printing the documents.URGENTLY
2) how can i fix the scanner or copier issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Forums @PowerShower,

I came across your post about your printers scanner and copier not working, and how you cannot print any longer as well from your Deskjet 3545. I personally think there could be a scanner failure in your unit, and would suggest troubleshooting the issue by following the steps below. If you continue to not be able to scan or copy (especially), contact HP for your printer replacement options. If there are any other issues, let me know and I will do my best to help.

A 'Scanner Failure' Message Displays on the All-in-One Control Panel and You Cannot Scan, Copy, or F...

Thanks for the prompt reply @Rainbow7000

The most important issue at hand regarding the printer is that,
how do i use the printer for printing my documents while the scanner/copier is not working?
Since after installing the new hp ink cartridge the printer is asking to scan the alignment page.
Thanks.

Hey PowerShower,

If the printer is in an error state, chances are the printing will not work either. If you have tried all of the troubleshooting and the issue continues, you will need a new printer. I will post HP's contact info below if you wish to contact them to see about a replacement printer.

Have a great weekend:)
