Hi Chanjackson-
Can you give more details of your situation? I've posted some suggestions/steps to others on this forum, have you tried those? I am indeed trying to help a few others with examining more of the system/driver logs, and if you've exhausted all the standard diagnostics and other things, I'd be happy to examine yours as well.
Thanks
Jeremy

My situtation is very similar to others that have posted here. I have the Photosmart 5514 connected wirelessly to a desktop PC with win7 prof sp1 64 bit. The scan to computer function does not work. Yes, I have performed all of the suggestions in previous posts but am not able to scan to computer. the print function works fine wirelessly and I can scan from the internet webpage just fine.

Hi Colargol66-
This is an interesting observation. I'd be curious if it's the first one installed that works, and then the subsequent one fails. Can you confirm? Here's a test case that would be interesting:
1) Power down the printer, and both computers. By turning off the printer you clear out any registered computers it might have.
2) Power up the printer.
3) Turn on the XP system. Verify that it registers with the printer and that you can "Scan to Computer" with it.
4) Now turn on the Win 7 system. Verify it registers and that you can "Scan to Computer". Note the behavior.
5) Repeat step 1 and 2
6) Repeat step 4, and then 3 to try the opposite.
Thanks
Jeremy

That definitely is NOT the case for me. I installed everything on the Win 7 machine first and tested it and it did not work. Then after numerous reinstalls on the Win 7 machine, I decided to try the Win XP machine and it worked immediately after installing the printrer on that machine. I flip/flopped back and forth on both machines and only the XP machine would work. Keep in mind the printer would work on either machine but it is just the scanner that will not.
I will gather some more logging info when I can log on to the machine remotely.

After numerous log files and many attempts to resolve this issue, we never did fix the problem. The user does not really use scanner much so we decided to abort the effort. Many thanks go to Jeremy for his efforts. He reviewed the log files that I sent him and unfortunately we could never resolve the real problem.
Jeremy was a big help but could not fix the problem......
Has anyone else given up on the effort and NOT find a solution.

Yes, I have given up. As outlined in a previous post, I opted to buy VueScan and forget about the ePrint function. My life is much happier now. Unfortunately, no matter what things were tried they proved not to work. My guess is that there is some incompatibiity with Windows 7.
