Odd problem. Up to recently when I would scan a picture from HP Document Manager I could immediately use the crop points around the picture and hit finish and all was done. Now I have to go to the crop Icon, select, wait and wait before I can crop...but...when I start my scan from the HP Solution Center, it scans, displays crop points, I can use mouse to crop and then finish ( just like Document Manager use to ..)

@Sky55ward,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with cropping the scanned image from your HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer.

This issue could occur if the software is corrupted or not installed properly.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the links below to uninstall and reinstall the software:

1. Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows)

2. Full Feature Software and Drivers

3. Firmware Update

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

First, I had already uninstalled and reloaded the software, second, you missed the point....I can crop by either using For Mang or Sol Center. In the past when I would scan from Doc Mang and the picture appeared, it would have all the crop buttons around the picture and you could put cursor on button and crop. Now buttons appear around picture but cursor will not move them until I click on crop icon at top right of screen and then crop using cursor.
