Jpg is a compressed picture format. It is not suitable for text due to the compression artifacts.PDF is a document format would be generally viewed or printed from Adobe Reader or a compatible program. PDF documents are designed to look the same on whatever device they are viewed/printed from, and print with the same page boundaries. Unless you have the full version of Adobe (or a conversion from PDF to Word) you can generally not change the font size or otherwise change the formatting of a document. You can generally change the page scaling to fill the page, select Fit as page scaling.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
