HP 6960 All in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been using the USB connection to printing and just set up the network connection yesterday.  Since then, the printer keeps printing the configuration pages periodically whenever I am using the computer.  Haven't turned the printer off and have left plugged in.  How can I stop the printer from continually printing the configuration pages without removing the network connection?

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I came across your post and would like to help. I read that you have an HP OfficeJet 6960 All-in-One Printer and its connected wirelessly. I read that the printer prints the configuration pages periodically. I'll do my best to fix this issue for you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Is it printing a network configuration page or a self-test report?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue persists then please restore the network defaults on the printer. You will have to run the wireless setup wizard again on the printer later to connect it back to the network. Below steps will help to restore the network settings:

Now, please run the wireless setup wizard on your printer to have it connected to the wifi network:

The above steps should fix the issue. Please feel free to let me know the results. I'm always here to assist you. 🙂
