HP C4450 all in one printer

It was working perfectly, but after I put in a new black ink cartridge now it won't print me an alignment page. When I send it something to print from my computer or place something on the printer to make a copy it will go through all the motions as if it is printing but only a blank pages comes out.

I opened the cartridge door back up to see if everything looked ok and there is wet black ink splatterd inside.

What is going on??

Any help/guidance would be appreciated  🙂

Karen

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing properly on your Photosmart c4450.

It is normal for there to be black looking ink in the service station area.  This is actually a mixture of color and black ink used in servicing to keep the nozzles from becoming plugged.
