Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M277dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All of a sudden blue streaks have appeared on the right side of the page all the way down the page. It is only on the printed side of the paper. I have not changed the tonor cartridges recently. I have calibrated it and did a cleaning page. The cleaning page shows very light gray lines at the top of the page when yu shine it in the light.

What do I need to do?

@dgrande

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw printer. I understand that you are getting print quality issues and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Check the paper.
  • Check the print settings.
  • Check the toner level and replace low or empty toner cartridges.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

This sounds like the drum seal in your cyan cartridge has gone bad or the cleaning blade has failed. Run a supply status page and check the toner level- If it is below 10%, you probably just need to replace the cartridge.

Are you using a genuine HP toner or a remanufactured one? Many times, non oem toners will leak inside the machine, so even after changing the cartridge, you may have some residual toner left inside the machine- it should clean up eventually.

I am not a HP employee. I am a service tech on these forums researching topics and offering my best guess to aide in your troubleshooting.
