Hey Guys!

At my job I'm trying to install my co-worker's old 2605dn printer.

However, I can't seem to get the printer to respond... The screen just shows "Hewlett-Packard" and below »»

Attached you will find a picture of how it looks.

I try touching the buttons and nothing works... What can I do?

Thanks,

This is usually caused by a bad formatter. You could try a NVRAM reset since nothing to lose.

Use the following procedure to execute a super NVRAM init.
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Press and hold the (Left arrow) and (Right arrow) buttons simultaneously.
3. Turn on the printer.
4. When you see the message Permanent storage init displays, release the (Left arrow) and (Right arrow) buttons.

When the super NVRAM init is complete, the printer will return to the Ready state.

What happens when you do a NVRAM boot as suggested and it just comes back with a large Y in the screen and both the attention and ready lights are lit?
