HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm Arif Reza and I'm using HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw since July 2016. But recent I faced some problem regarding color scanning. When I scan any color document it does not shows the real color. But while photocopy it gives accurate color photocopy. So, I think it may be the software problem. But after re-installing the software no changes shown.

Can anyone please help me regarding this issue.

@Arif-Reza,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing scan quality issues while printing from your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177.

This issue could occur the scan DPI is less or the firmware may not be updated.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:

1. Load the document on the scanner glass according to the indicators on the product.

NOTE: For best results, load small-size paper (Letter, A4, or smaller) with the long edge of the paper along the left side of the scanner glass.

2. Click Start, and then click Programs (or All Programs in Windows XP).

3. Click HP, and then select your product.

4. Click HP Scan, select a scanning shortcut, and then adjust the settings if necessary.

5. Click Scan.

NOTE: Click Advanced Settings to gain access to more options. Click Create New Shortcut to create a customized set of settings and save it in the list of shortcuts.

You may also update the firmware from the link: Firmware Update

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
