HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw screen frozen/stuck on hp logo and energy star icon.

 

I have the same issue please provide me with the steps and instructions on how to resolve this issue.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you to follow below steps and check.

 

 

If the issue persists, I recommend you to update the printer firmware and check. Follow the steps in the below article to update the printer firmware.

Thank you for your reply.

 

The printer front panel is not working it is stuck on "HP and energy star" logo.

 Please see below answers to your questions;.

 

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • - It still prints but as indicated above only shows the logos on the front screen.
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • - No hardware or software changes were done.
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?
  • - Tried trouble shooting it . Where can i get the HP download and Install Assistant to update the firmware.?
  • Online i only get the HP Support Assistant and with that i still cannot see my printer.
  • On firmly pressing the middle of the screen after a hard restart i get the "Permanent Storage init" message.

I have the same problem!

I can not run the software update program. "Offer to check for errors in the printer and repeat"
I have the same problem. resetting NAVRM does not help. - permanent storage init and nothing else happens

1. Product Name and Number (please do not post Serial Number)
• Example: HP Pavilion DV2-1209AX or HP Deskjet 3000 Printer CH393A
2. Operating System installed (if applicable)
• Example: Windows XP, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows 7 64-bit
3. Error message (if any)
• Example: ""Low disk space"" error in Windows
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
• Examples: Upgrading your Operating System or installing a new software; or installing new hardware like a printer, modem, or router.
