I successfully set up my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fnw over ethernet (hard-line). I have it set up where the "Scan to Network Folder" is set up on my Synology NAS. The Network Path is set to "\\XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\Scans". The Username and Password is set to match a user I created on the Synology specifically for the Scans folder. Username is set to "XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\HP". Everything tests successfully and works great while it's over ethernet.
The problem is when I switch over to a Wireless connection. When I enable the Wireless and disconnect the ethernet cable and once the printer obtains the IP address, the printer can no longer successfully complete the test to the network folder. This behavior persists even after restarting the printer, the Synology, clearing the SMB Cache on the Synology, and restarting my router. No matter what I try, even deleting the Network Folder from the EWS interface, and even performing a memory wipe to factory defaults (hold the bottom right of the touch display once you turn on the printer) and trying to set it up via Wireless initially (instead of ethernet) the printer will not connect to the Network Folder.
However as soon as I disable the wireless connection and re-establish an ethernet connection, it works again.
EDIT: I'll also add that printing from any computer on the network (wireless or hard-line) is unaffacted and successful when the printer is connected on ethernet or wireless. Furthermore I can initiate scans from computers on the network to the Printer when it's connected on ethernet or wireless.
The problem is solely Scanning TO the Network Folder location over Wireless, when it works over ethernet.

I figured out the issue. The IP of the wireless connection happened to be blocked on my NAS. Once I enabled access for that IP, wireless scanning works fine.
