My printer is connected to internet via wifi without a proxy. Whenever I attempt to register my printer with HP Connected, it prompts a "Printer Proxy Settings". I did it about a year ago at my previous resident, I just started using my printer again at my new place, I'm using a new router. I have attempted to register my printer with HP Connected multiple times over the past week. I accessed my printer through HP All- in-one Printer remote, and through inputting the IP on my browser. What should I do?

Hello, @georgiearmel – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel!
I see that you are getting proxy settings issue while trying to connect your Photosmart 7525 printer to the HP connected account. I would recommend you update the printer firmware and then assign a manual DNS address to the printer to try and fix the issue. Here are the steps:
- Go to http://hp.care/2eL0J8V and select Firmware. Download and update the firmware.
- Restart the printer once done.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
- Restart both the printer and the router and then try enabling the web-services again.
Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Good luck 🙂
