HP DESKJET 3630
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

BOUGHT A NEW HP DESKJET 3630 PRINTER.

I CANNOT GET IT TO PRINT. MY IMAC CAN SEE IT AND TELLS ME IT IS ON HOLD.

THE HP WEBSITE TELLS ME IT DOES NOT SUPPORT MY IMAC.

THE HP WEBSITE TELL ME TO CHICK HERE TO VIEW OTHER OPTIONS.

THIS WEB SITE THEN TELL ME ERROR 404.

I FOLLOWED THE WIRELESS QUICK GUIDE.

DOUBLE CLICK HP UTILITY BUT THERE IS NO 'SETUP NEW DEVICE' HEADING TO CLICK.

SO I HAVE NO ONSCREEN INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW

THE CD WILL NOT AUTO RUN.

IT TELLS ME TO READ ME, LICENSE BUT NONE OF THIS HELPS

I CAN CLICK 'ABOUT HP EASY START UP' THIS GOES TO CONTENT, CLICKED THIS AND HAVE  'RESOURCES' & INFO.PLIST.

NEITHER HELP.

ALL I WANT TO DO IS INSTALL THIS PRINTER TO MY IMAC AND PRINT.

Hi @T109,

I understand that you are having issues while installing the printer in MAC 10.6. I am afraid there is no downloadable driver version for this model printer in MAC 10.6. You need to first connect the printer to the MAC using a USB or connect the printer to the network over wireless (follow the steps here: http://hp.care/2o3LZlW ). Once the printer is connected, then follow the steps below to install the printer on your MAC.

  • Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
  • Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
  • Click the “Add button” (+).
  • Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer.
  • Click “Print Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default “Airprint” would be selected)

Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.
