HP DesignJet Universal Print Driver HPGL2 - Send job as bitmap problem

hello i have a hp designjet 1050c working on windows 10 with the HP DesignJet Universal Print Driver HPGL2, it works great in programs like autocad, with vectores, etc. but when i try to print bigger prints, or print photos, etc, i get an error in the printer of "out of ram".

the solution i found is to "send job as bitmap" this way it's the computer that does the processing, but with this option i only get a solid black printing (see attachent photo) so i think that there's a problem with the processor driver, or something.

what can i do?
