Good morning fellow of the forum, I was reviewing two computers of the same model one by mistake 21.10 that manages to solve and another by mistake 05.10. The one that gave error 05.10 probe with the electronics module of the other (here I made the mistake to mount this piece thinking it was the formatter), this equipment showed on the display:
Discrepancy in EEROM
Display replaced part:
Replaced parent
ISS replaced
Both replaced
None Replaced
Select "Both replaced", the computer restart showing the HP logo and the bar that shows the read status, at the end showed the language menu select the Spanish language, instantly appeared the following message:

You need to perform calibrations on the machine.
Refer to your service manual for instructions.
When you hit enter, the following message appears:
System error 01.10
Contact HP support
On the other machine mount the electronics module of this machine indicating the same problem as described, I re-installed the modules corresponding to the equipment, which load normal indicating the same warning message and later error.
Disconnect everything again, let the equipment rest, re-install and continue the error even when the equipment is left disconnected from the electrical outlet for a full day ...
On the other hand, in the computers, enter the '' menu and tests of service utilities '' when loading the system reading with the HP logo, pressing the navigation keys up and enter for 10 seconds, however only appears in the tools Service submenu: service tests and service utilities, does not show '' service calibrations '' in which you can perform the Factory Advance Calibration to the machine ... The service tests pass safely both teams, Another problem Is that in the Service Utilities, EEROM Setup, the Model Number does not appear, where you can select the model number. In the same utilities menu, the Font Type or font type tells me that the computer is not compatible with this one Option .. I have the option of Reset to default but it does not make any changes ...
Disconnect the equipment from the electrical outlet by pressing the cancel key, reconnecting to the jack so that the equipment enters the '' special X mode '' and then updating firmware, but the program does not detect the equipment ..
When connecting the computer via USB on a PC with windows 7 look for the drivers but for the Designjet 500 and model number CxxxxB whose installation fails as an unknown device, the firmware program recognizes the equipment as Designjet 500 but fails to load the firmware In teams ...
The suggested help is to set the model number C7780B or perform a hard reset for that purpose, or if there will be a firmware version available to achieve this.

Thanks jasonmiamifl however the problem I had with these plotters was when I exchanged the electronics modules to discard the error 05.10 in one of them and when returning the modules corresponding to the computers appears the error 01.10.
Reviewing the service manual I find that it is a failure of the electronics module in which there was loss of information: detailing what happened, at the time of giving the option "both replaced" the teams did not know where to take the information if In the module or in the ISS, failing the modules.
Try to mount the electronic module of one of them in a 500PS thinking maybe the menu that indicates the piece that has recently changed will be presented and take the information of the ISS to get it back to life, however it goes directly to the error.
Since it is not of the same model, it may not allow the operation to take place?
If I install a new module can I repair the plotter? Because the team asks which of the pieces was replaced to take the information of either the module or the ISS according to the choice. It should be noted that the ISS is indicated in the service manual as a bearer of the backup information.
Inquiring in forums I met with one of the collaborators indicating that a firmware version prior to the current one allows to make configurations of this type to the equipment.

It seemed you mis-dianostic the problem at the first place.
05:10 had nothing to do with 01.10.. bu the hd in formatter was bad & you could simply remove the formatter & run
the pcl driver. Even you can still see the error & simply press enter to get to ready mode.
At the present time.... you need to fix 01.10 error by check 2 thin cables trailing cables connect to the mainboard. some contacts might loose.... you might need a set new cable..
double check & I might be wrong. myself replaced many trailing cables & never a mainboard.
On Ebay, someone selling the new hd for $14.95 , buy one & replace it.
After above 2 fixed and you check the service station....
Your problems are not hard to fix & need clear mind & fix it one by one. take it easy.
post a problems if any occured. there are many helpful people here willing to help.
Learning experience & after you made it work again & you will learn a lot.
