HP Designjet 800 42 in
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I am hoping someone can help me figure out why my Designjet 800 42 in. will not print my entire PDF file. The file was made using Indesign and was exported as a PDF. The PDF is 501 KB. I had one successful attempt and printed the entire image on bright white plain paper, however when I switched the paper over to the high gloss photo paper I want to use, it only printed half of the image.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, if it's a driver/data related issue you can do a workaround by activating the option "print as bitmap", it's in the driver's support & troubleshoot section.

Hi, thank you for your help! I checked the options to print in bitmap and run it as a 16 bit process, usually both options need to selected for my PDF files to be printed but for some reason this one just isn't working. I will keep playing around with the settings. Do you think it could be my PDF file or definitely a driver issue? Thanks, again!

It's difficult to figure out the exact cause for such failure. Keep the driver up to date. Printer firmware shouldn't be older than version A.03.07 in general. Fading driver support for newer operating systems, last supported OS was Win7 (Maybe set up a virtual machine). Try a different pdf-application. Check the options in your design-application when creating the pdf file, keep the pdf as simple as possible. Today's needs of a design application are hardly met by ancient hardware.

Thank you again, I'll give it a try!

Hi,

Go to File > Print > Advanced > Print As Image
