HP Designjet T2300 PostScript
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Spent a few days going over parts and having end users test - not able to recreate issue on a daily basis, it seems random.

This printer is added to the network and jobs are being sent via IP/Hostname resolution. Users are sending PDFs or varying sizes but nothing majorly big.

Randomly during print jobs (could be 1 page or could be 20 pages) - the print stops printing and reboots or shuts down and stops the jobs.

Nothing shows in the error logs, and i can then see the in the job log where the job goes into a "hold" status.

Firmware was up dated to ver IG_10_04_00.1 . Ive changed the stored job settings to only hold a log of 10 jobs (thinking it was a memory issue)

Rebooted device and had users retest. It may go 48 hours without an issue and other times it shutsdown or reboots twice a day.

Only thing left i can think to do would be to replace the formatter board.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

I would recommend check on the 'Service Plot' information to look for printer errors or warnings.

How to get the service Plot

Open the Embedded Web Server of the printer from your computer using the printer's IP address / Go to Support / Service Support / Printer Information / All Pages

Make sure printer is directly connected to the power outlet

Check on the status of the print heads, replace over-used or expired PHs

This page still seems to imply theres no issue? The status under each shows as "OK". Other than being out of warranty (See below)

Hi,

The screen shoot you attached is not the service plot

Go to Support / Service Support / Printer Information / All Pages

You can email it me at [Personal Information Removed]
