This is how I corrected the problem in Windows. I do not know if it's the same in a MAC, but I don't know of any reason why it should be any different.

(REPOSTED)

Go to the main scan windown and click on the RESTORE DEFAULTS button.  After you do this and scan the initial page, the button to add pages should be there below the preview window. After scanning the original page, click on the + button under the preview window to add pages to that document.

I had this same issue and then I installed the HP software that came with the printer.  Once this is installed you will be able to access the printer on your desktop and print and scan from there INCLUDING being able to scan mutliple pages sequentially without having to save individually.  Trust me....it works.

Hi

I have located the Add a new selection to create an additional page button but when I click on it it does not give me the option the scan a new page it just duplicates the page I have already scanned.  Help please.

If I remember correctly, it doesn't gfive you any options when you click on the + button; it just scans it when you click on it.

Hi,

Thanks for using the forum.

After you have scanned the first page, remove and replace it with the 2nd page before clicking on the " +" Add new scan pages.

Here's a video that may be helpful :

Hope that helps.

Still not working for me. As mentioned I have found the add page button but when I click on that it just duplicates the first page and there is no option to scan a second page.

Hi @KelsoH

Thanks for the feedback.

AFTER you have scanned the first page and BEFORE you click on the "+" Add pages, can you plesse put the 2nd page that you want to scan in the scan glass BEFORE you click on the "+" Add pages?

The video clearly shows that if you follow it closely.

Hope that helps.

Just realised I was clicking on the select area button and not the + button which is on the other side.  All sorted now at last. Thanks!  Good advice to switch to the second page before hitting the + button as that was not clear before. Thanks 🙂
