HP Deskjet 1510
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP deskjet 1510 All-in-one printer.

Few months ago when i refilled the cartridges and placed it into the printer the printer started to show error message

i.e. the lights which indicats low ink or any ink cartridge problem started blinking. I thought that the cartridges were

damaged so i bought new cartridges. The new cartridges worked fine but, When the time came to refill the cartridges the same problem occured.

This time i refilled the cartridges as i thought thr ink in the cartridges had dried out but when i entered

the cartridges in the printer the  lights which indicats low ink or any ink cartridge problem started blinking (Left light

started blinking but the right light was stable.

For this problem i saw a video on youtube and tried cleaning the cartridges  and printer (Place in the printer where cartridges are connected) with distill water and alcohol .

But this even did not help. Please help me with this problem asa soon as possible.

(Please try to help me before 23/05/2015), If not possible at least give me a solution for this.

Do not use refilled cartridges please use Hp genuine cartridges.

Since you were using refilled cartridges you got error message on printer.

To clean the cartridges please use lint free cloth(the cloth which we use to clean the spectacles) do not clean with alcohol.

An error message indicating a print cartridge is not recognized displays on the computer screen. An example of such a message is shown below:

No printer cartridges. No print cartridges have been detected. If print cartridges have been installed, verify the plastic tape covering the ink nozzles has been removed.

The printer carriage does not move from the left side of the printer and the printer light blinks when the printer is turned on.

Solution
The print cartridge contacts may need to be cleaned. Clean the print cartridge contacts as described below or, if necessary, replace the cartridges:

1.Open the printer top access door. The printer carriage will move to the center.

2.Remove the USB cable from the back of the printer.

3.Remove the print cartridges from the printer.

NOTE: The printer can operate with only one print cartridge installed.

4.Unplug the power cord. (Do not press the Power button to turn off the printer.)

5.Verify that the correct cartridge is being used for the printer. Cartridge reference can be found in the User Guide.

6.Verify that the protective plastic tape has been removed from the print cartridge.

7.Locate the copper circuit strip on the back of the cartridge.

8.Clean the copper circuit strip with a dry foam-rubber swab or a lint-free cloth.

1 - Copper circuit strip
2 - Nozzle plate

Do not wipe the nozzle end of the cartridge or touch the nozzle plate.

CAUTION: Do not use platen cleaners or alcohol; they may damage the cartridges and the printer.

9.Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

10.Turn on the printer if it does not turn on automatically.

11.Insert the print cartridge into the cradle at a slight upward angle until a resistance is fallen.

Firmly push the print cartridge into the cradle. A snapping sound will be heard when the print cartridge is correctly positioned. The print cartridge fits securely in its cradle.

12.Close the top access door. The printer carriage should move to the left.

13.If the printer light is on steady, perform a self test report as follows:

1.Press and hold the Power button, and then open and close the top cover four times.

2.Release the Power button.

14.If the printer light continues to blink, replace the print cartridge or cartridges one at a time.

Cause
Print cartridge recognition error messages are displayed if the printer is unable to communicate with the cartridge(s). A faulty cartridge or dirty contacts on the cartridge may cause this.
