How can I assign a static IP address to the above printer?

There is no option on the printer control panel to do this as far as I can see.

It seems the only possibility is to allow the printer to grab whatever IP address it believes is appropriate - usually a DHCP one. In my case this is inappropriate since I want to assign a specific fixed IP address.

Hi @Bernard0146,

I read your post and see that you would like to be able to assign the printer a fixed IP address. I would like to help you.

Once the printer is assigned the IP address automatically, print off a Configuration page to get the IPv4 address.

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button (). The Wireless menu opens.
  2. Press the button () next to the Down Arrow () to scroll through the options and select Print Reports, and then press the button next to OK.
  3. Press the button () next to Wireless Test to print the page.

Access the Embedded Web Server for the printer and setup the manual IP.
Type the IPv4 address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)

I have provided a document for setting up the manual IP address. Go to Solution two: Assign the printer a static IP address. HP Deskjet 3050A e-All-in-One Printer Series - Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
