Hi
I have just replaced my black ink cartridge and have run test pages. All colours print perfectly but I am not getting any black printing. I have cleaned printhead and everything else recommended but when I try to print anything with black text, it prints out a very very feint blue and thats only if I set the print quality to best. All the colour cartidges are half full or nearly full.
The printer is out of warranty.

I understand that you are getting issues while printing in black. Do not worry, I am here to help! Going through your post, it seems that the issue started after replacing the black cartridge.
First off, make sure the cartridge is properly vented and cleaned. Follow the solution 2 & 3 here: http://hp.care/2rznleh
If the issue persists, then it could be possible that the cartridge you replaced is defective. Do you have an alternate cartridge? Or, you can try using the old cartridge and try printing again. Let me know if that helps.
