HP Deskjet 3630 All In One
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi, I just  bought this printer today and it's already giving me error codes!

It was fine when I was setting the wifi connection up but then it started to give me and E code and blinking lights. I've tried resetting it by removing the power cord and from the outlet wall. But whenever I turn it back on it will start doing this again!

This is what the Error looks like and the blinking lights.

I've tried to check the resolve this error from this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-DeskJet-3630-All-in-One-Printer-series/7172306/document/c0459...

But it doesn't have my Error and blinking light combination on there.

I've been spending two horus trying to figure the problem out but nothing! I'm so frustrated, bought this new HP printer because my old one was also acting up with error code and blue screen of death. Now this new one is giving me the same problem.

So can anyone help me out?

Thanks!!

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP DeskJet 3630 printer. I understand that you are getting the error code, and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Look for jammed paper.
  • Remove and then reinstall the ink cartridges.
  • Plug the printer directly into a wall outlet.
  • Reset the printer.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out.

Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the reply but I've already done all of the above mentioned steps. This still hasn't fixed the problem that I have. Every time I try to setup the wifi connection to a certain wifi it would give me this error.

But I've figured out that this does not happen when I try to connect to another wifi.

Why does this happen? I would like to set it up to connect to my main wifi but when I do this is would give me that error code. When I set it to connect to another wifi this doesn't happen. It would be handy if it would connect to the main wifi without this problem. Since I'm always on the main one, then I don't have to keep switching wifi's on my laptop to be able to print from my printer.

SandyTechy,

I have a HP Deskjet 3632 and I also have blinking lights and an error message. I've troubleshooted the steps you mention to the previous poster. Would uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers help?
