HP Deskject 5150

I  recently replaced the ink in my computer.  After I did this it started sucking up a few papers at time.  Next thing I know, it is making black lines on whatever I print.  Now, it won't print at all and the ink light is flashing at me.  I have tried several tips I read on this forum- but no luck.  I'm ready to throw it out - disappointed I just bought new ink for it.  Please help and thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you power cycle (turn off and turn on) the printer?

if the symtoms still remain, the printer may be defective.

Thanks,

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

it was going  through the power cycle when I turned it on and off... but now the light will turn on and off and that is about it unless I open up the top cover
