Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Deskjet 840C printer and it stopped working by itself. The printer pushes a blank page without printing anything.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Do you receive any error message when you try to print?
  • Did any updates happen on the computer after which this issue may have started?

Meanwhile, I did some research and found that the full featured drivers for this printer are not available for Win7. However, we can try to print using the inbuilt printer drivers in Microsoft Windows. Please follow the steps from this link to install the inbuilt drivers: http://hp.care/2bYE4kP

NOTE: When you get a list of HP printer drivers to choose from, please select HP Deskjet 990c and continue with the installation. The HP Deskjet 990c drivers will work./

Please feel free to let me know the results. Cheers! 🙂
