HP Deskjet D1560
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello there i've recently had to re-install my HP Deskjet D1560 printer among other things. I first tried to re-install it from a CD that i have but i found out that method no longer works. After some Google searching, I learnt that there is software and drivers for this printer for Windows 10 users on the HP website. So I downloaded those files for this printer. And thought that this would've solved the problem, but I still can't get the printer to print.

If you did not do so the first time,

  • Disconnect the USB cable between the printer and the PC >
  • Download the Full Feature Software >
  • Uninstall the existing printer programs from Programs and Features / Apps and Features >
  • Reboot and log in >
  • Install the fresh copy of the Full Feature Software

Help, suggestions, and examples:

Install Full Feature Software - Printer

Operating System recently migrated to Windows 10 and / or to re-install the printer software:

  1. If using a USB cable to connect the printer and computer, disconnect the cable
  2. Create a Restore Point >
  3. Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit)
  4. This works best if the computer's Windows (10) Updates are current - check if you are unsure
  5. Update your HP Drivers (or other vendor computer) - printer software likes updated Drivers
  6. Verify / Switch-on Network Discovery and Print Sharing
  7. Open Printer Website Driver Support Page >
  8. Download a fresh copy of the Full Feature software >
  9. Remove existing Printer Software from Programs and Features / Apps and Features / All Apps / Devices and Printers >
  10. Shut down the computer > boot, and log in >
  11. Install Full Feature Software (find in your Downloads folder > Double-Click on the file) >
  12. Restart the computer and log in to finish the installation

Sorry for the late response, but that's the same file that I've downloaded. As you can see everything else that comes with the package downloaded correctly but as I said I just can't get the printer to print.

EDIT: I'm not sure why it worked this time round, but I just tried to print something and it worked. Anyway thanks for replying to my thread.
