Hi, It seems i'm not the only one having SUDDEN problems with my HP deskjet F4280 printer!
I was showing low ink levels on black and color. But no indication of any problems.
Sent for two new black/color cartridges from HP. Installed them-and i get two blinking orange lights!
I put them in again, same thing. Flashing lights-E reading.
Put in old catridges-lights go off and all's well-no flashing lights, just showing low ink levels.!
Took new catridges out-Turned off printer, unplugged from printer and wall, waited, replugged everyhing-turned on printer-reinstalled new cartidges-
same two flashing lights!
What to do? Never had this problem before. The catridges are the right ones-60 xl-bought from HP store.

I have had this happen to both of my hp deskjet printers. One of them was fairly new (2 years old) and the other is older but until today has always worked fine. I am using hp ink (not a generic or refill) and it is costing almost as much as a new printer. My son and I have tried all sorts of trouble shooting with no luck. Needless to say I am very annoyed. I used to swear by hp, now I think they have gone downhill.
