HP Deskjet 1512
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Deskjet printer will not print even with a new cartridge. Whenever I press the print button, the printer merely spews blank pages.  I reinstalled the Windows 10 drivers to no avail.

Hi @tmagou1,

. Good day.Smiley Happy A very warm welcome to you. I came across the post regarding the printer spitting blank pages. It will be a delight to assist you with this.

Superb description, commendable troubleshooting and splendid diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. Smiley Happy Thanks for doing business with HP.I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. Smiley Happy

  • Did you try to make copies directly from the printer?
  • Did you bypass power strips and connect the printer directly to the wall outlet?

For a start please perform these steps.

Please make a few copies directly from the printer from the user guide link. Please refer page 27 on how to copy.

If it copies fine the please uninstall the printer by performing these steps:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  •   Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Then reinstall the full feature software from here then check if it prints correctly. If it does not please perform all the prescribed steps from this article to try and correct the issue.
  • These include cleaning cartridges, software cleaning of the cartridge depending on the operating system.
  • This should do the trick for you.

If it still does not work, you could try these steps in thilink and then contact HP phone support to get the printer replaced.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Smiley Happy  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  Smiley Happy
