HP ENVY 4500 Only printing half a page then stops or prints the rest on another page

I have only had this printer for a few months.  It will print half a page, from word or the internet then stop.  It will either not finish or print the rest on another page.  If it stops, then I have to pull the paper out.  Also, it will not print when I am connected to my internet, I have to disconnect then connect to the wireless printer.

I see that you are experiencing issues printing wirelessly. I would like to help.

It sounds like you are using Wireless Direct, since you have to keep switching back and forth on the network.

I will provide the steps for the setting up the printer through the network.

Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is a hardware or software issue.

Printing a Network Configuration Page.

If you have a valid IPv4 address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)

If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.

Power cycle the router, computer and printer.

Try printing again.

If you don't have a valid IPv4 address, then do the following steps:

Restore the printer defaults.

1. On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button (). The Wireless menu displays.
2. Press the button () next to Settings.
3. Press the Down Arrow () to select Restore Defaults, and then press OK.
4. Press OK again to confirm your selection.

Under the operating system, select number 4, to configure the wireless through a USB connection.

If you are using Windows 8, please take a look at this document from my co-worker to see if it will help resolve the issue. Missing or partial print issues on Windows 8 / 8.1.

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

I tried the instructions on my printer hp7520e and everything worked perfectly.  However, when I print FROM THE COMPUTER SUCH AS E-MAILS IT WILL STILL PRINT ONLY HALF A PAGE FROM LEFT TO RIGHT.  NOW WHAT?

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! I see that you are experiencing issues printing from the computer. I can help you with this.

Are you just having this issue printing emails, or from all applications?

If the email application is web based, try another browser to see if you have the same results.

Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it.

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

How is the printer connected?

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor?

I'm having the same issue except my issue is with an ENVY 120 and I am using OSX, not windows.

I don't have an HP ENvy, I have a Deskjet 2540, but I sometimes have that problem,either it wants to print half the page from left to write, or it prints a page with a coupon on it and the coupon is split between 2 pages.  Today that happened and I found this forum.  This is how I fixed the problem.  I use gmail and I clicked on the top of the email that said, "email jumbled?"  "Click here".  When I did that and clicked print preview, the whole coupon was on one page and when I clicked print, the whole coupon was printed on one page.   Remember to change to what page you want printed or the whole email will print.  Hope this works again.

Ever since my computer updated  itself to Windows 10, the HP 4650 printer I have recently bought only prints about 4/5ths of a picture, so the far right hand side is blank., even when I reduce the margins.  This only happens when I use Google Images then type in 'outline of .............'  to find the outline of the image I want. The printer prints everything else perfectly. 

I would be be grateful for any suggestions, thank you!  Any explanations would need to be in 'easy speak' please!
