I had the same error mesage and nothing worked. Tride to unplug it sever times and hold down the On switch for several minutes. Read this on the internet. HOLD YOUR PRINTER OVER A CARPET ON A HARD SURFACE AND DROP FROM 5". DON'T LAUGH IT REALLY WORKS.. If all else has failed, try it it worked for me and on the internet many others. Don't laugh it really works.,

Hello,
I also am having the same issues. Error code OXC4EB823F - but before I restarted it it showed the error message above. The ink cartriages do not move from the right hand side, so the instructions are not at all helpful. It is not pluged into a surge protector and I have restarted it a few times already.
How can this be fixed?

My code is different but similar to the above. Mine is OXCAEB827F which cannot even find out what the error is for. I did find out if you want suggestions or help from HP you will have to pay a big charge. All I wanted to know what the error stood for so it might guide me on how to proceed. I refused to pay the high price for help so started looking for forums that might have the same problem. I found the answer on here. lol. Kind of strange answer but was about to throw in the trash and choose a company that isn't so interested in money as compared with good customer relations to ensure a customer for life. Anyway, I tried all the power resets even plugging into the wall direct no luck. Soo lol. I did as a smart person on here suggesting only instead of 4-5 inches I doubled not caring if it fell apart that fed up. Would you believe it actually took care of the problem? lol.

Drop test?? Like you, desperate to try anything. Instead of dropping it once, I went with two just to make sure I got the point across. Plugged it in and....it works!!!! Check one off the Honey Do list for today.

I am so HAPPY that so many of you have found my "drop your printer" quick fix successful!! 6 months later my printer is still error code free!! Please keep posting, if this DIY solution works for you. It is gratifying to read your posts -- from coast to coast and even abroad -- and helpful for others. Cynthia ("Frustrated in NYC")
