As shown in the screenshots in my earlier message, I have Documents with Text selected, and the symptom is still present.

Hi matthewlmcclure,

Thanks for getting back to me with the results of your efforts.

The options that you are missing should be there. The fact that the HP Easy Scan App functions properly on one Mac, but not the other, suggests there may have been a problem with either the App download or the HP Easy Start installation software download. Maybe something on the Mac needs to be updated or adjusted.

About the only thing you haven't tried yet would be to check to see if there is a firmware update for the printer.

Please let me know if that helps.

Where are the missing options stored?

In a file on my Mac?

In defaults on my Mac?

On the printer itself?

Hi matthewlmcclure,

The options should be available right in the HP Easy Scan App if you are doing everything else properly on the computer. If you are doing everything the same on the problematic Mac as you did on the Mac that everything works on, the options should be right there.

I would contact HP Tech Support as I have no other available resources for this issue. What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.

Please click the "Accept as Solution", and the "thumbs up" buttons up on my initial reply above so others with similar issues can find the solution easier.

Thanks!
