Hi there,

I'm in the process of installing the correct drivers for my HP Envy 4500. When I get to the "Add and Verify Device" page, I can't get past Step 1. I am given the option to use the current driver or switch to the HP driver, but when I click "Switch to HP Driver", nothing happens, and I can't continue with the installation. The program doesn't appear to freeze, because I can still select the "Back" button, but I can't do anything else. I am doing the installation over Wifi, so maybe that has something to do with the issue?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you installed the printer full feature software drivers? If not, then install the driver from here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
