Did you ever find a solution to your blank black screen. I have the same problem, working fine yesterday but today just black with a couple of white vertical lines, will print, but thats the extent of use. Tried all 6 of the recommended solutions which achieved nothing, and seems to be about the same as others, 6 months out of warranty.

Sorry, never did find a solution. Ended up scrapping the printer and buying a newer 110 on eBay. Only did that cause I had so much ink stocked up. As is will stick to Brother systems or another brand for now on. HP has just gone down the tubes the last couple of years.

I have had nothing but problems with every HP Printer. This  expensive Envy D410 is no exception.

We do not even use it that often and now the corupted screen.  I will stay away from HP products. GARBAGE!!

Well, I got the problem with enless restart before. HP could not fix it and sent me a replacement one. The replacement now has the problem with  touch screen display corrupted just like jkampmeier but in horizontal way. What's a shame to HP for an expensive printer. Has any one had a solution for it yet? 10 days out of warranty :smileyindifferent:

I never received a response from HP. Hope you have better luck! What concerns me is that they employ the touch screen in so many of their printers. If the technology is not up to the task, it should not be used.

It's probably appropriate to rate the unit on the HP product page. The product and the limited warranty. It's disheartening that companies don't take a stronger support stand for their products.

Agreed. An otherwise respectable printer, but my display is completely unreadable after 2 years.

Didn't realize the display was a consumable also 😛

Poor build quality HP.

I gave up and moved on. Very disappointed in the product and the lack of response from HP. This seems to be a relatively common problem. Live and learn, I suppose.

We have had the dreaded corrupted lined black screen on our HP Envy D100 410 printer since virtually the week the warranty expired.  Exhausted many hours trying to fix it after a month long run-around with HP support .... all to no avail.  In fact we found the escalated HP support personal to be disrespectful and insulting to interact with.  We have boycotted ALL HP product since this terrible experience, and have cleansed our company of all HP product.  We pass this horror story on to others at every opportunity.  Over my career as CEO, I have authorised the purchase of hundreds of HP prouct for my companies, yet, that fact turned out to mean NOTHING when our personal $300 Envy suffered infant mortality on the cusp of warranty expiration.  Never again for us .....
