My HP Envy 4510 printer suddenly went offline.  I have tried many things including HP Print and Scan Doctor and when I ran that program I did not get a  test print.  I am desperate

Hi @mimidi,

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! This is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community. I see that you are having a trouble where the printer is showing offline. Try the steps below to fix the issue.

As I understand you have already performed Print and Scan Doctor, though has not fixed the issue. Let's try few other steps here:

Printer is Offline (Windows) - Click here

How is the printer connected? Is it USB/Wired/Wireless

If it's connected to the network using Wireless, then try the 'Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection' - Click here

If the problem still persists, then I would suggest assigning a manual IP and creating a TCP/IP port which should help to resolve the issue.

Watch the video to know how to assign a manual IP on HP Printer: http://hp.care/2cqpl6p

Refer this to create a TCP/IP port: http://hp.care/2dxUJQo

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance, do let me know.
