HP Envy 4512 (about 2 months old) has started skipping entire lines printing documents, no matter the format (pdf, open office, InDesign, etc). Test page showed streaking in the black. Ran HP Print and Scan Doctor - says everything is good after reinstalling the printer software. NOT. Tried installing new black ink cartridge. No help. When I print a document, the print is clear, but entire lines are missing.
There is no problem with the color printing. Just the black when I am printing a text document. The text it does print is clean and crisp. But it skips entire lines.
I checked that the printer has the latest software version and have run through the laundry list of "Have you tried this?" that everyone posting a problem gets.
The printer was working fine yesterday. I have not installed anything new since then.
Help, Please!

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are unable to print properly in black as some lines in text are missing.
This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer is not clean or defective or the print cartridge may not be aligned properly.
Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Fixing Print Quality Problems
If the issue still persists, then you may update the firmware from the link: Firmware Update
Let me know how this works.
You have a good day ahead.
