HP Envy 4520 Scan to Email

How to I scan to email AT THE PRINTER without the use of my mobile device. The scan to PC does not work for me since the printer does not utilize web based email. I had a HP Envy 5530 and scan to email AT THE PRINTER was a function that I really liked, I did not need my mobile device or a PC to complete the scan to email function.

As I understand it the 4520 will scan to email but you need to use the app on your mobile device...well what if I don't have my mobile device with me. Seems a bit cumbersome to always have to use the app to scan to email. i hope there is a way to scan to email right FROM THE PRINTER.

Does anyone know how to scan to email FROM THE PRINTER with out the use of a PC or mobile device using this printer?

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer and you would like to scan directly from the printer to an email address without the use of a mobile device. I'd like to assist you with this case.

I did some research abou this and found that the only way to achive this is by following the below steps: (Source: http://hp.care/2iEPHlr)

• On the printer control panel, touch Scan  , and then touch the name of the computer that you want to save the scan to.

• Select a scan option that corresponds to the document or picture you are scanning: Email as PDF, Email as JPEG. 

• Touch OK. The printer scans the document or image, then saves it to the destination specified in the settings.

Thank you so much for wanting to help me determine if the 4520 can scan to email FROM THE PRINTER. As I stated in my original post, "The scan to PC does not work for me since the printer does not utilize web based email." If the printer supported web based email your suggestion would work.

I did some more research and found that the option to scan directly from the HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer to an email address is not available.
