@Linda6363 and @fedemariani74, thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the draft mode prints lighter.

This issue depends on the type of paper used and also the print resolution.

Please follow the link Printing Photos (Windows) which you give you the option to change the print resolution and the paper type.

Let me know if this works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.

I have the same problem with my new HP Envy 4520. Prints are too dark and look nothing like they do on the phone or computer screen. I have tried all things suggested above and nothing has helped. Very disappointed since I bought this to print photos of my new grand baby.

OK...I called the support number and they told me that bulk Print Cartridge into the box are a bad quality ones... so you cannot print with them but only make some test.

So you have to buy a couple new!!!!!

Insert new cartridges and you notice that prints changes in quality!! That's sad but true!

I was having the same issue with my brand new printer.  I purchased replacement ink at the same time and holy moly were you right!  I put in the new cartridges and did another print.  The difference is night and day!

Thanks so much for the post!
