HP ENVY 4527
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed my new 4527 but my laptop HP (with Windows 10  64-bit) is asking the following.  "Enter the WPS PIN for your printer.  You can find the WPS PIN number on your DIRECT -44  HP 4520 printer or in the packaging that it came with."

I cannot find anything on the printer or the box that says WPS PIN.

I tried many times to connect a printer to my laptop but lost time.

HP did not show the compatibility of its products. HP should compensate each holder of the HP ENVY series 4527 printer, Offering a free upgrade to your printer so anyone can easily connect your HP printer to your HP laptop.

This is annoying if you are buying a printer from the same company as you have a laptop but you can not connect it to your laptop at all. I have a printer for 2 months and I have not printed anything from my laptop yet because nothing works,

Fortunately Iphone connects without problem.

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP ENVY 4527 printer. I understand that you are unable to connect your printer to laptop through wireless router and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Connect to the wireless network.
  • Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon  .
  • The Wireless screen displays.
  • Touch the Settings icon  .
  • Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, then follow the instructions on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above troubleshooting steps.

You can refer this link to find the WPS pin:- click here.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
