I just bougth a HP Envy 5544, and I can scan from my computer just fine, but I can't scan to email directly from the printer. I've tried to add the corresponding app in HP Connected, but it says it is not supported. How can I solve this?

Hi,
Teh scan to email app is not supported by your printer indeed, it is only supported on printers with a full color touch screen.
If you have outlook installed and configured on your PC tap Scan > Email, click the Scan Shortcut and select PDF to Email, then the scan will launch an ougoing mail message.
If you do not have a mail client installed select Save as PDF and then email the scanned file from your PC.

Then why is this printer being sold with this feature on it's specifications? In HP official page (http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-envy-5540-all-in-one-printer) it clearly says it supports this functionality.
HP is selling a product without a feature, saying it has.
The only way I see to solve this issue, is to return the printer.

This is what shown on the specification:
Digital sending features Scan to email [via printer control app]; From software: Scan to file; Scan to email
Scanning to email can be done via the printer control app which is HP AIO Remote (from Android or Apple devices) or from the HP software from a Windows PC or a Mac using the installed mail client software..
