I've got a problem with my (almost) new printer. The printer has more than 1 year. This printer printed only on the tested toners photos and texts. When I want to print next photo this 'say' to me: 'The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer'. Printer show me black and white atrament. We bought new atrament and histry is return. We bought atrament which is original. We need help quickly! Thanks for help!IMG_0038.JPG

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and understand that you have an HP Ink Advantage 3545 printer and it gives error message saying "Incompatible ink cartridges - the indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer." I'd like to help you with this case.

Thanks for posting the images and describing the issue in detail. 🙂 I recommend you to perform the below steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a solution:

  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
  • Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
  • Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
  • The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector. Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.

If the issue persists after you perform the above steps then please perform the steps as described in this link. These solutions are explained in detail in this document: http://hp.care/2hfmWf5

Let me know the results. All the best! 🙂

You are welcome. 🙂 I understand that printer now keeps aligning when you power it on. I suggest you to align the printer manually once and that should stop the printer from aligning by itself:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow () to scroll to Align Printer, and then press OK.

Once you have aligned the printer, remove both cartridges out and insert them one by one. Please check for which cartridge the printer drives an incompatible error message. I'm always here to support. Let me know what happened. Good luck! 🙂

Thanks for replying. 🙂 Please try to make a copy for the printer. If the printer successfully makes a copy then we can fix the printer drivers/software.

If the printer continues to display the cartridge information then you may try to replace the ink cartridges and check. If the replacement ink cartridges work fine then you could get the defective cartridges replaced under warranty from HP.

Let me know. Thanks again! 🙂

Absolutely, I will provide you all possible support. Please remove the cartridges out and that message should go away. The printer should give the message as missing cartridges as the cartridges are out. As I suggested before, If the printer continues to display the cartridge information then you may try to replace the ink cartridges and check. If the replacement ink cartridges work fine then you could get the defective cartridges replaced under warranty from HP.

Hope this works. Cheers! 🙂
