Hi all,
I had an HP LaserJet 100 M175nw wirelessly connected to my WiFi a few days ago without problems. But I change from ADSL to Optical Fibre Internet Connection yesterday, and the SSID name of my new Router has changed (from WLAN_55 to WLAN_43).
The problem is that my Printer has configured and saved the SSID name of the old router (WLAN_55) yet, and I don't know how to update it!!!
I have run the HP install CD several times, navigate through the printer menu display and I am desesperated...
The printer works well though USB, but wirelessy is not working because it is trying to connect to the old network.
Thanks an regards.

Here is the support page to install the product on a wireless network again.

I have the exact same issue and unfortunately this link does not help
The link takes me to the new install procedure and the wps option suggested just does not work due I believe to a problem with my router.
SO I still need to change the existing SSID and password manually.
On an earlier post it was indicated that this is possible to do manually on the printer but I cannot find a way to do that. Are you able to post the menu directions to get to the change SSID option? I dont think it exists!
OR
How do I access the printer configuration via a usb link? in order to find and change the SSID and password?
I dont think there is a way to do this either!
OR
How do I access the printer configuation browser without a wireless connection? Maybe this is the answer..
To do this I connected a network cable between the computer and the printer and typed the network ip address (IPv4 Address) into my browser.
I found the network ip address by printing a Config Report like so....
Print a network configuration report
The network configuration report shows the network or wireless settings for the product. Follow these steps to print a configuration report from the HP product.
Load letter or A4 unused, plain white paper into the input tray.
On the product control panel, press the Setup button (
).
Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select Reports, and then press OK.
Press the Right Arrow button (
) to select Config Report, and then press OK. The product prints a configuration report.
Then I chose the Networking tab on the printer configuration page
Then the Wireless Configuration option from the menu on the left
There I found my new router SSID listed and clicked on it
And futher down a space to enter my new password
And clicked Apply
And hey presto - solved!

I have changed ISP. My printer was working flawlessly until the SSID etc was changed. Now the install software fails and it cannot configue either automatically or manually to be acessed wirelessly on my network.
I have spent a day trying to get this to work and am about to throw the Laserjet 100 color MFP (Mother..F**king Printer is I suspect what it stands for) into the garbage and go get another printer as I cannot spend anymore time on this issue.
One last desperate plea for assistance.
Thanks!
The O/S is WIndows 7 64bit.

Fantastic, using the IPv4 Address option discribed (2nd "or") worked great.
Thank you for the clear instructions

I desperately try to find my printer's IP adress but the network report from the printer control panel only shows blank with the TCP/IP(4) fields?!
And the only IP-adress listed (192.168.223.1) doesn't get me anywhere......

Hi All,
I feel your pain! Just spent five hours on this, but finally - success. Here's what worked for me:
Follow the directions of HP Support Assistant or HP Scan Doctor (hopefully the wireless setup works for you--didn't for me), your documentation or whatever to get your printer connected to the router via network cable. (This is needed, apparently, to access the website where you can change your router address. My printer does not have the capability to do this on the actual product.) Also, you will need to know your network IP address. Print the Network Summary from the Reports selection on your printer if you can't find it.
Type the printer IP address into your browser (only gives results if printer is connected by network cable to new router, at least for my printer).
When the printer information appears, choose Networking Tab, Wireless Configuration, then you should see both old and new router SSIDs. Click "off" on the old router SSID, then click on the new router SSID. Further down you should see a space to enter your password for the new router. Then click apply. Test - and - Whoo-hooo! Wireless printing is now working!

I found the instructions on another HP forum page much more helpful, even for the HP LaserJet 100 M175nw:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Changing-SSID-on-M217-Laserjet/m-p/4816720/
It's the simplest option, PROVIDED you know how to connect your pc to wireless, WPS does not function and you do NOT want to use an ethernet or USB cable.
@Kathianne:
I understand that you don't own a HP LaserJet 100 M175nw, so your answer might be helpful to others.
