I'm trying to set up my wireless printer, and the printer says that its is connected to my wireless network, but I can only get my computer to print  wirelessly if I disconnect from my regular network and attach to the wireless direct network name, which is different and stops my internet from working. How do I get my computer to recognize the printer on my regular wireless network?

Hi @lelg

I understand that you would like to setup the printer over the wireless network. I can help you with this.

Uninstall the printer software.

Uninstalling the Printer Software.

Restore the printer defaults.

Go to setup, services, restore defaults.

Power cycle the router and the computer.

Run the wireless setup on the printer.

Go to setup, network setup, wireless menu, wireless setup wizard.

Print a configuration page to get the printer's IP address.

Printing a Configuration Report.

Select Method one.

If you have a valid IP address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer. Type the IP address into your web browser's address bar. (Internet Explorer)

If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.

Download, save and then run the software installation. HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw Drivers.

Select your operating system, click next and click on the software to download and install.

Test the printer.

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

Please provide in detail the results if you are still having issues.

Have a nice day!
Thank You.

Seriously, thank you so much. After thre e days of pulling my hair out trying to get the printer to work the way it was supposed to, your directions got it up and running in less than an hour, no hair pulling required! I guess the test will be when I get the chance to test out the airprint function, if that works I'm golden.
