LaserJet 600 M601 Jam
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Our customer is reporting issues with the LaserJet M601 that it Jams regular when they run large reports. They will load it with a full pack of paper and sometimes it will jam and other times not. When it does jam it throws error 13.B9.A2 and when you remove the toner it looks like the sheet of paper has gone back on itself.

The LaserJet 600 M601 has just had a Maintainance kit fitted which resolved one issue of "Squeeking" but this issue sadly. We have also just changed the toner with no effect on the issue.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Graham C

13.B9.A2 is a generic error which i think just points to a jam in top cover. A2 points towards a Stay Jam printing from tray 2. Stay Jam means the paper hasnt moved on in a set amount of time.

When you replaced the maintenance kit did you swap the feed and seperation rollers on the trays?

Stay Jams can also be caused by worn EDPM rollers situated behind the manual feed unit or the registration rollers

Hi

Did you ever find resolution to this issue?

I have an HP 600 M601n that gives me the 13.B9.D2 error with paper curled up in front of fuser, indicating to me that fuser drive shuts down prior to paper reaching it.

Not sure if this indicates a bad ps700 sensor or one of the other paper path sensors.

The problem does not occur from tray 1.

I also have experienced a print defect at the top of the test pages.  Its a kind of blur which occurs when feeding from either tray 1 or 2.  I have had this on an HP P4015 before and it was the paper feed assembly situated between the transfer roller and the fuser assembly.

I am not really sure if this defect is related to the primary issue or not.

The printer has over 1 million pages on it, but is not loud, or making excessive grinding noises from the fuser drive.

I have tried a different fuser assy, different toner cartridge, and changed feed separator rollers.

I did notice that tray 2 was set to any size paper initially.  I set it to letter size/plain but it had not effect.  I am still getting the same error.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd
