I am using the HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw.  Is it possible to forward the fax as a email instead of printing it out?  The current fax forwarding feature only supports forwarding to another fax number but not email.  If fax forwarding to email is not support, is there any other solution?

Hi @Albert1024 ,  I understand that you aren't able to forward the faxes. I can help you today.

You can only forward that faxes from the printer to the fax number.

Check to make sure the Fax Forwarding didn't get turned off and it is still showing the correct fax number.

1.  From the Home screen, touch the Fax button.
2. Touch the Fax Menu button.
3. Touch the Receive Options button.
4. Touch the Forward Fax button, and touch the On button.
5. Use the keypad to enter the fax-forwarding number, and then touch the OK button.

Turn off the Private Receive.

1.  From the Home screen, touch the Setup button.
2. Touch the Fax Setup menu.
3. Touch the Advanced Setup menu.
4. Scroll to and touch the Private Receive button, and then touch the Off button.

Clear out the saved faxes, to make sure this isn't causing any issues.

Go to Setup on the printer, Services, Fax Service and select Clear Saved Faxes.

Update the printer's firmware. HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw Drivers.

If you are still having issues, we can try a full reset on the printer.

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

Have a nice day!
Thank You.

Hello Gemini02,

Thank you for your reply.  My issue is I don't want to print fax but instead, I want the receiving fax to come in as either a email attachment or a share folder in my computer.  I am using a iMac 27".  I saw on the web that there is something called HP Digital Fax, but not sure whether this will work.  Here is the link :-

Hi Albert1024 ,

Some models have software, where you can have the computer receive the fax through the Toolbox software, instead of printing each fax every time. Then you can print the ones you would like. But this model doesn't have that feature.

This printer has the features, to scan to email or a network folder. HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276n and M276nw Product Specifications.

Here is a little more information on this, you might want to use this feature in the future.

Scan From the Control Panel (Including Scan to Email, to a PDF, and to a Network Folder) for HP Lase...

Most Officejet models, some Consumer Laserjets do have the Digital Fax Feature and that you are referring to and most likely the Commercial Laserjets.

Thank You.
